Actually, this solved a problem we had. Before the door was newly painted last summer, the wreaths that I hung scratched up the paint on the door. On this one, though there is wood lath that keeps it square, nothing that scratched rubs against the door

Oh, I forgot to add, the reason I said that about my brain in my original post:
3 1/2 years ago I was in a car accident, was in a coma for 2 weeks, and had a 'traumatic brain injury'
I hear tell I had to relearn everything, but somehow this sewing knowledge remained.
But doing PP used the same part of my brain that is used to replace the little plastic dohickey on the dishwasher. I still can't figure out the twists and turns it has to go through to be put on there properly. It's something that would have been no problem before the accident, but is a good example of what I deal with now
PP uses whatever part of my brain that's used for that, so I was pretty proud I could get through this.
I firmly believe in taxing my brain, to keep it working and constantly try to make it do things that are difficult

If you have a glass storm door, you can do what I was going to do if I didn't like the way it turned out, my Plan B. I was just going to smudge that glass with hand prints, not worrying about how I was going to explain the handprints at the top of the door! (and there are no grandchildren, and really, no young children come to this house)

It's very pretty, and I prefer this type.
