    Hardwood, for all the reasons previously stated. Plus, a hardwood floor is a great place for laying out your quilt pieces and putting the quilt, batting, and backing together.

    Hardwood. Easier to clean, move across, and better for allergies.

    I switched from Carpet to laminate flooring in my sewing room and really love it. I can find things that drop, and don't have problems with my rolling chair. Lots of reasons to not use carpet, but those are my favorites
