Thank you so much, HisPatchwork! Now others can reference the book for instructions!
    :D :D

It is a just an instruction page you can print out, not the book. It shows several ways to sew your strips.
Oh, I see. Every bit helps!

I do a lot with selvages too. How did you create that "wrapped binding" in the first picture? Cool!

These are photos to inspire me! I have not made any of these. It's my photo collection for inspiration! I think the wrapped binding is a procedure called couching. I may be wrong but I think she just "couched" it. and then wrapped with a decorative thread. We would love to see some pics of your projects too! BTW, here are some more photos to get everyone in the creative flow.

I know I have some more but it's throwing them in the wrong file so I have to go search it out. I had one done with handsewn big stitches, one of a flying geese block, one of a man in a selvage ski suit and a few others. Anyway, this is a start to some good ideas! :D :D

Wow, these are great, just want to know how you piece your selvages together, do you overlap them? I never kept any of it, I just throw them away but now I know better, what a shame of all the beautiful things I could of created.

Never thought of saving those! How fun. Great ideas. Wouldn't those pins cushions be cute as little Christmas exchanges with fellow quilters? Thanks. Now to buy more salvage. lol :-)

Yes, lots of beautiful ways to create these projects with throwaway selvages! I sew mine RST because I leave enough room to do so although some of my selvages are quite small. I have a Marti Mitchell one that you can hardly see the name it is so tiny. For those, I have to cut wider and some I will sew leaving the fringe exposed on the outside! I love that look of the fringe on the outside in some projects. You just have to consider the way it's being used and then decide the sewing method. For a project that would get lots of handling like a sunglass case, I would sew all strips with at least a 1/4" seam. Some projects only need 1/8" seam. Some would need the fringe exposed. Some would need overlapping as they are so tiny and some would need to be mixed with plain fabric strips to give variety and color! So glad you want to save some now and create something beautiful!!
