I am so new to this site and have only been "quilting" for a year. I love quilting, I love all the avenues you can travel in quilting. I had a Janome from a long time ago - I have been really struggling with the quilting 1/4 inch seam that is a must! Sew, rip out, sew, rip out! I found out about two months ago the machine isn't really for quilting and that is why it is so hard to hold the 1/4 inch (even with a 1/4 inch foot. (You can't move the needle to where you need it). I went to Sewingly Yours yesterday and tried the Viking Sapphire 875 - I felt like shouting to clouds. There was the 1/4 inch I need with absolutely no effort!!! Not to mention all the wonderful other things she does. When I left the shop, she was with me. I am so looking forward to using the new machine. My class is next Friday to learn all the good stuff about her. Her name may have to be "Angel".

I was at joanns on wed after work I had gotten an email re the new Ruby and a Serger that was on sale. Drooled over the Ruby and finally talked myself out of the Serger. Already have two sewing machines, both Huskys love them I can wait til all the major changes going on in my house right now. DH is finally moving our bedroom out of the basement and my catchall front bedroom that I use for sewing storing and my business downstairs to the family room Exercise equip going in old bedroom my sil can't wait to get started. Dosen't understand going to take a month to clean out front bedroom then I'll go get my Serger

Congrats!! Let us know how you like her. I am hoping to buy a new machine in the very near future. Much research to do first.
