Home. Seems like you can't get good food or service when you go out anymore...

I love Emmons, they make a killer bbq beef sadwich also the beef jerky is great. Nice people there to.

My son introduced me to a little place over in Newports south beach a few days ago that if I decide I want fish that is the place I will go. It is a little crab shack, not even sure they have a name but they are a fish market, mini mart and resturant all in one. They cook fresh crab out front, have picnic tables set up outside for eating and tables inside. He bought me the halibut fish and chips. Yummy. I watched the cook from our table take the fresh halibut out of the cooler and drop it into the batter before she fried it. When our name was called my son set a basket of fish and fries infront of me that were fresh, hot and not overly batterd. Big pile of fries as well as 6 big chunks of halibut. I couldn't even eat it all.

We have to drive an hour to find a nice place. So we don't eat out much at all. By the time we drive there and back it takes all evening. Only fast food, greasy cafes, or buffets local. I would rather buy the best quality food and cook it at home, that's cheaper then eating at a nice restaurant. We get our eating out fix when we travel.

ditto. One of our favorite shared activities is cooking. We cook better than most restaurants so usually eat at home. For a treat, we'll buy some special ingredient and prepare it.

we only go out 1 or 2 times a year, live way out in the country and frankly I would rather cook so I know what I am getting.
On my birthday we go to the hound pound (Greyhound bus station) where there is a great Chinese buffet. It is about 45 miles away.
