Thanks, everyone, for all your help and lovely complements! I think I've decided to meander (meaning like stipple, but wider, and still not crossing lines)all the blocks within the red border. I'm going to attempt it by hand since that's what I know, though all those seams are scary. We'll see how it goes. I've never meandered before- any tips? I found a stencil on-line and was thinking of buying it. Is there anything to know about tracing a meander pattern with a stencil, or freehand? Is it best to start in one place and work toward another? And are the ends supposed to meet up so that it's one continuous line?

    Thanks again! : )

Great Scrappy, sometimes things just take a bit of time... My oldest project (UFO) is from the 80's, some day....

Simply stunning! I don't think I could ever get "scraps" to look that good. Bless you. Keep on sewing, you are really superb.

I'm a log cabin fan and I would either do block work on the blocks or just a side to side overall quilt design.. It's so busy it won't show up much and you don't want it to stand out above the quilt... I wouldn't put feathers on it maybe flowers...
    I really like it!
