I'm always saying "If I can't get an accurate 1/4 inch, how am I supposed to go a "scant" 1/4? Isn't it only 1 or 2 threads difference?

I'm going to try to get the 02 foot (Sew Vac Direct has it for $14)

I have a Jamone 3018 and love my 1/4 inch foot with flange but I move the needle over 1 postion to 4.0 and it is perfect 1/4 inch. my flange is very sturdy and doesn't move but the one on my babylock is flimsy and moves so don't use it ...

I like my Janome 1/4" foot fine, but it took some time to get used to it.

I have a Janome with a 1/4 foot. Forgetting it was on I set my machine to zig-zag and ruined the 1/4 foot.

I love the 1/4" foot that came with my Janome 6500, but my friend bought the same machine and she hated it and snapped it off like you did. I think it is just a personal preference.

I just bent my guide up so it's still there but does not hinder the feed of the fabric. I love my Janome and the even feed. It is a low shank machine so any fw feet will fit it.

I get a perfect scant 1/4" seam everytime by using my Janome 1/4" foot and moving the needle to the right to 3.5 setting.

you can adjust the width of your 1/4 inch seam. press you stitch width button a couple times, and you will notice the position of your needle adjust ever so slightly. i think you might have to be on mode 2. but not for sure. when i sit at the machine, i am just on auto pilot.

Love all my Janome feet. I just use it without making adjustments and all my seams are equal. When I need to be that precise (exactly 1/4"), I use my little Dritz measurement thingy. Usually, it is right on.
