Ok, so I feel very lucky that I only sliced off what I did - so many of you took off much more of your finger. I thought the flap of skin reattached itself - but it really didn't. The edges started coming up a couple of days ago. This morning I didn't put a glove on when I showered. By the end of the shower, the skin had peeled off. New skin had formed under it. I have a little blister on the bottom part of the cut, but I just put a bandaid over it again. Renewed sensitivity on that finger now since I don't have the protective layer of hardened, dead skin. But still - all and all healing is progressing.
