    I like #2 because the lavender 'floats' the embroidered squares before starting the darker colored borders. It's a nice extension of the finishing triangles, which I think is necessary. Otherwise, the lavender triangles are sort of an afterthought. I think I would make the next border white and the final border the same purple as you used in the center of the quilt. I always try to use the same colors in the border that I have used in the quilt - or I use a print that has similar colors.

    I like #3 . Have you tried 2 borders instead of 3?

    I know you have already decided, but just wanted to say, I would like 1 but would replace the gray with white to bring out the center more. Great quilt!! Hugssssss and smiles

    I know I have gotten into this discussion a little late, but sitting back away from the screen makes #1 look really like it is a picture - my suggestion would be to miter all 3 borders to finish the picture frame appearance.
