Under my needle is my new binding attachment for my Bernina. Way expensive! Have put off buying one for about 5 years...and now, I am "bound and determed" (no pun intended) to learn how to bind my own quilts.

I've been working on my "wonky house" quilt for work. Got the last three of the blocks back from the Homes and finished putting the embroidered names on and now putting them together. I'll be working on the school logo that goes in the missing spot this weekend.

Hello! My wife bought me my first sewing machine today! I've made one quilt by hand and really enjoyed it. I would like to make quilts to donate to the nursing home my grandmother was in. They are always cold there year round it seems.

Congrats on that new machine!! I make donation quilts and find it very satisfying and I think you will too. Can't wait to see your creations! Hugs and smiles!

I am really enjoying this thread. There is some amazing work going out there. Cathy, your Wonky Houses are speaking my language--one of the cutest things I've seen in awhile. My husband bought me an embroidery machin and I'm trying to figure out my new toy, so embroidery is under my needle today.

Big Weasel....enjoy your new machine and your new hobby!

I took a charity baby quilt off the LA...good practice for me...now to find some binding fabric to finish it off.
