    You really need to talk to a lawyer that specializes in SSI. They get paid from the award. They can help you separate your assets from you husband's, which is totally legal, and also work around all the other pesky details. SSI really does want to wear you down until you give up.

    If your family knows you did not buy your meds this time and is okay with it then NEVER go without getting your medicine again to help the family out financially.
