Your question is a good one, I have seen the whole quilts in packages in lots of the nice quilt shops in the US...now I would like to find one made of linen or linen blend fabric...have not found one as of yet...am encouraged that I might finish one if so many other quilters do...memepeggy

Makes me want to start on my whole cloth, but several to do before it gets done.

I did this exact quilt and call it my masterpiece. I told the family they could put it on my casket in stead of flowers and save some money. I backed mine with a peach-colored sheet. I bought the lowest thread count I could find and used Mountain Mist Quilt Lite and I thought I did a pretty good job of it and so does everyone else who sees it.

Simply stunning. Once again I'm humbled by those who hand quilt, as I wouldn't have the patience.

It is preprinted (the blue lines) but I added some pencil marks in between the lines and added a swag border to the outside edges.

The blue marks were 2" apart, but I wanted denser/closer quilting than that so I went and added pencil marks between the lines so the stitching is 1" apart.

Quilting it is like eating an elephant..."one bite at a time"...and eventually it gets finished!

Yes, it is preprinted. :) I wouldn't have the patience to do all that marking myself! :)

Pre printed or not I am in awe of your patience.
I am a new quilter and a frequent observer of all the wonderful quilts that are presented on this site. I have recently finished my first attempt at a large quilt and have it in at the LAQ at the moment. I hope to get it back soon (as it is for my son for Xmas). I will be sure to post a picture of it when it returns. However it pales into insignificance compared to your effort!!!
