    Magnificent. I wish I had the money and space for it...wow. It would be great if it were in a museum, with the history of the quilt...

    Check with the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and AQS for appraisal contacts. DAR has a museum.

    Oh My Goodness that is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I would love to have something like that, but like you I could not afford it. What a treasure, too bad he wants to get rid of that historical treasure.

    i didn't read the whole thread, but almost all the big shows have appraisers. many of them buy. if anyone is going to a show, they can get a card for you and you can send an email picture.

    Simply Eligant! The quilt has been preserved well and belongs in an environment that can preserve correctly for the future. A museum is the right place for it after it's been appraised.

    Maybe he could contact them - but I would have it appraised first. He needs to make sure he gets a fair price for such a wonderful quilt!!
