This month I didn't ship anything hard or too big so I used a priority envelope and it was about $4 cheaper then a box. But I think you don't have to send priority as long as it's sent before the due date for mailing as long as delivery confirmation is used, I'm guessing that parcel post could use delivery confirmation....

And today's mail was squishieless.....sigh.

Have we started the bench sitting up yet? I'll bring some nuked popcorn, reasaonably healthy ;-)

Now, now, let's turn that frown upside down, I'm certain they have stores in Arizona that you can go to, and I just came up with an EXCELLENT (if I say so myself) idea, we could all go to the store of our choice at the same time and it would practically be like all shopping together!!! Let's choose a day and a time, who's in? I'll start by saying I can go tomorrow say after 1:00 PM eastern time, (so my car will/may be fixed) Candi what's a good time for you? Sarah are you on central time? Arizona girl is this too early for you?

Okay--I'm in, but the reason I like company is so I can tell DH I had help spending $$$, so I'm naming names to DH--is that okay with everybody??? LOL! Around 1:00 is good for me!

I received my box from Patty Patches. WOW what a box.
I received FQ's and 1/2 Yds of fabric, pony tail holders for bobbins, spool of thread, scissors, marking pen,self stick notes, needle threaders chap stick, blade, glue stick and a container. Thank you so much patty Love it all
ps forgot I got a quick quilt magazine also. That is one of my favorite magazines. I just renewed my subscription but don't have this one.
I will be mailing mine Monday

No, they are not. I had one with me and we tried both ways-box was cheaper.

Kudos to the gal at my post office... she saved me $5! I walked in with a Squishee (and a beautiful squishee she was, too, all blue and stripey) but the gal said she thought we could get it in a flat-fate envelope, and we did. So, with delivery confirmation, $5.65. Granted, there was nothing big in it, and I came home with the lovely squishee and packing material, but wonderful things come in small packages.

I'd rather send fabulous small goodies than spend $$ on shipping, so next month I'm picking up a flat-fate box and stuffing it.

Priority mail and the 70 cents for delivery comfirmation. I'd love to know if there is a better(cheaper)way! I used the box that Lori said to use in an earlier post. My postal lady said I used the cheapest way....

Did you happen to see the package I sent to mimom? All that stuff fit into a flat rate bubble envelope and only cost me $4.75. There are also regional A & B flat rate boxes available. I can send a box from Florida to Ct. for $7.78. This box holds a lot. The flat rate bubble envelopes and regional A & B boxes can only be gotten online at USPS. Both of these will save you money. I have 2 cheer skirts in a bubble envelope ready to mail out. The skirts are a size 12 ,reduced to size 10, without cutting any of the heavy knit fabric away. There is enough room for a cloth purse and a note. That is a lot to go into a bubble wrap envelope. I print my postage at home and save money every time.
