I saw a pic of a quilt hanging that I have no idea what the pattern is called . One half the block was a half triangle, the other made up of strips. Does anyone recognize the (rough) sketch attached? Appreciate any help out there.

BTW – I really LOVE this msg. board & have learned SO MANY new tips & tricks. Have been out of the ‘quilt’ world for over 20 yrs. When I 1st started quilting, there sure weren’t so many nice “toys” out there to use. (Didn’t even know how to use a computer then) LOL

Have a blessed day & may all your quilts be filled w/love

    THANKS SOOOOO MUCH everyone -

That is it exactly! Really appreciate it - knew probably most of you on here knew it, but either my "ole timers" has sit in, or I've been out of the quilting world tooooo long.

Have a blessed evening (? day)

Last week I saw this pattern done as a QAYG, totally reversable with the triangle/strip combos reversed, so that the strips of one side strip quilted the triangle from the other side.

Which reminds me that this is one of my UFOs lying around somewhere. But I can blame my sewing machine. I was sewing this when my machine first started acting funny and meddled with the thread tension. So it's not really my fault, I've never finished it. :-D Of course I've started and finished several other things in the meantime.

Hi QuiltE - that sounds so interesting - unfortunately my brain can't quite visualize how that is done (ole timers I think) Do you still know where you saw it?

    Have a blessed day

I saw it IRL at a LQS. I didn't pay attention to the pattern name, as I figured I could just figure it out myself and am hoping to do a couple blocks of it in the next few days, so I don't forget about it! Please me a PM next week, to remind me if I haven't posted about it before then
