    Default African Inspired quilt for DH's 60th birthday
    MY husband loves lions and tigers and elephants etc so for his 60th birthday I made him this quilt.

    The embroidery designs are called Spirit of the Serengeti and are available from SewSwellDesigns, they stitch out in an 8 x 8 inch hoop. The connecting block is a free one from Quilters Cache but I am sorry I can't remember the name of it. The background fabric for the embroideries was Fairy Frost and I used up all my charm pack of animal prints for the blocks

    It was a lot of fun to make as I could only work on it while he was at work, then when he was home I would have it all packed away and hidden
