If you have a Janome Horizon 7700, could you please let me know if your attached walking foot moves or stays in motion while you are straight sewing. I think mine use to stay in the up position. Now when
ever I begin to sew, it falls down and moves back and forth while sewing. Thank you for your help.

My attached walking foot when not in use stays still.
It sounds like you may have a screw lose.

I have the 6600, which has the Accufeed as well. Mine stays up behind my presser foot when it's not engaged. It does move a little as I sew, but it doesn't come down far enough to touch anything. It definitely shouldn't be getting in your way!

http://content.janome.com/index.cfm/...sory_Tutorials see if anything here helps, i've read reviews from back in 2011 and they weren't good on many things. Good luck.

I have the 7700 that I bought new in 2013 and the foot stays up. I agree that it sounds like something has loosened.

I had a 7700 (now have an 8900) and thought mine was broken because it wouldn't stay up. It was the dreaded "operator error" although I have to say the manual wasn't exactly clear on this. When you put it up, there is one position where you can also pull it forward a tiny bit. When you do that, that will lock it in place and it will be out of the way. As I recall, I was also trying to push it up higher than it needed to be, so try pushing it up about 2/3s of the way and then pushing it forward. You shouldn't have to force it once you find the right spot.

I'm posting this on your other thread too.

I tried to view this video, but it said Firefox prevented it from opening. I don't know how to change that. I would like to view these videos.

Ladies thank you so much for all your help. I did try the suggestion to move it forward 2/3s and it did stay in a higher position when I started straight sewing. All you members on this board are angels. I am blessed!
