    Default Placemat for Mom
    This is the late Mother's Day placemat I made for my Mom. She knows it will arrive late but is looking forward to its arrival. I was also using this as a practice for my FMQ. Surprisingly I found that I really enjoy doing tiny spaces in my FMQ. The strips of fabric are two inches wide but some of the strips had multiple colors. For kicks I put the watermelon fabric on the back. I know it will bring back memories for her 'cuz I 'loved' watermelon when I was young and ate a lot of it!

    I love how the FMQ changes the look of the fabric. The linear lines are about 1/8" apart.
