Default "How do I quilt this?"

A very common question here on the QB.
this link could be very helpful in making the decision. http://crafty.house/how-to-decide-wh...at-to-quilt%2F

Thanks Nan. I loved her approach to quilting what and where and why. There are whole libraries of books written on this subject. I think many people can step outside their comfort zone and learn new things if they just take the time to invest in the whole subject of quilting. Quilting. Not just piecing, not just design, not just complementary colorways.
I agree that sometimes it is much easier to just have a pro do the quilting if a quilt is beyond your skills because your skills are deficient to finish a beloved quilt that is beyond my capabilities. But, I also think that if you don't try, you will never learn the skills to feel confident enough to advance on.
I once heard a very old lady say," I go by if I have more money than time or more time than money". It really stood out in my memory all these years later.

this was very good. However, it would have been GREAT if more camera time was spent on the close-ups of the blocks with the quilting, with verbal instructions in the background. I had to keep rewinding to see in the block what she was describing. Sure do want more info/tips from this quilter, though.

Angela Walters is terrific and fun to watch but I really wanted to Look at the quilts as she talked and not watch her gesticulate...I wouldn't take the series for that reason...there's too much flipping back and forth to try and match the example with her discussion.

This is exactly what I thought. I was going to post a suggestion there, but you need an account to post. Maybe she'll see this thread.
