Hi Folks
Came upon this site when searching for info on a machine I got from a local salvage yard. It was badged Princess and is a zig zag machine. Since coming on here I have found that it is a Japanese variant. I got it free when I purchased a Lada treadle (no table), an Aussie Pinnock electric and a Singer 201k from 1951 all for AU$70.
Unfortunately the "Princess" is beyond help so I am going to be selling off what I can on ebay to pay for the other restorations.
Looking forward to many conversations on here.

I too, am struggling with learning to repair and restore old machines. I particularly like the mid-century models. The folks here, the Victorian Sweatshop and the yahoo sewing machine groups have been very helpful.
My next challenge is restoration of the cabinets. I have a 401, 15-91 and 201-2 running smoothly. They are out of their cabinets, though. For them to be useful, I have to rehab the cabinets. I have several other machines that need rehab as well, but I can't keep ignoring the cabinets with the hope they will fix themselves.
Welcome.
