I'm picking up a used Q Zone fame today. It's already assembled so what I'd like to know is if you think I can transport it without taking it apart, I have a trailer to put it on and a blanket to wrap so it doesn't scratch. Just don't want to take it apart except for carrying the tray separate. tia Carol

Yes, if your trailer is long enough, you don't need to take it apart. I've transferred Handi Quilter frames in the back of a pick-up, but have always had to partially disassemble because my truck bed isn't long enough. When you get it to your home and in the place is will stay, you'll probably need to level it.

don't know if you have already left.....but I would also consider how long is the frame and how long is your trailer.....I know with my Lucy 12 foot rails, most trailers are too short. another consideration is how far are you transporting it? When my sister-in-law transported her loom in a trailer, all the vibrations loosened the nuts and bolts and we were picking them up from all over the trailer.....

I have done it both ways unassembled and assembled with the Grace frame. Both seemed to work well. Though It was a pain to reassemble it and level it again. My sister's husband built a plywood base and attached it to the frame to stabilize it during transporting. We both have the same frame. Her's has held up better and did not require any leveling at the end of the move.

QZone is either a hoop frame around 5 ft long or a queen frame around 8 ft long.

Thanks everyone! Picked it up and got her home and set up!!! Now I'll need to find a speed control to fit my Juki TL 18. The speed control that came with the frame is for a different model and doesn't connect! Rats!

You must remember that with such a limited throat space, by the time you roll the quilt on the take up bar you will only be quilting in less than a 6 inch space. I have Janome 1600 on a grace frame and know from experience. Pick your quilting designs wisely to allow for this.
