    Default What is this for?

Can someone tell me what this little do-hickey is used for. Made by Fiskars, I don't even know how it came to be in my possession.

Just a wild guess--could it be some kind of sharpener for scissors?

sloscotty - thank you for the picture. I do have one of those, used once, ruined my scissors, so put back in the package and out of sight. Will have a look in the morning to see if that part is missing.

A while back these came occasionally with the scissors (just as is - no holder) - it is a supposed to be scissor sharpener. I have one just like that that I do not think it has been ever used. It always looked kind of sketchy (lol).

Is indeed a Fiskar sharpener, only Fiskar type. I use mine a lot with good results and since I had it in my carry case, my sewing group ladies would often use it for their own. You just do it once or twice at a time, open up and insert the blades and with a gentle closing motion shut the scissors which removes them from the sharpener.

Hi - The Fiskars do-hicky is for sharpening your scissors. One blade goes in each slot. You will have to experiment with it.
