Default Cuts and Bolts NYE mystery

Is anyone doing the Cuts and Bolts New Years Eve mystery? I know many people do the Merry Mayhem New Years Day mystery, but I usually do the Cuts and Bolts and work for the two days. Sherrie has posted the fabric requirements and pre-sewing directions on the FB page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/376851042875618. Well, I just noticed new cutting directions are coming out since there was a mistake on the original. I like her colour scheme this year so will probably stick with it - cream background, red, blue, green, gold, and brown fabrics.

There was a hitch for a few days because Sherrie needed to make changes to the pattern. But it's up and running now. Three clues have been posted so far with two more to come before NYE. This is the first year she's done it this way but this pattern is a bit more involved than can be finished in one day. So far I love it! Here are my fabrics except I changed out the cream for black. I've never done a quilt with black background and these colours seemed to lend themselves to it.

Here are my clues 1, 2 and 3. If anyone else is doing this mystery, I'd love some company.

I’m too busy with other things, Belfrybat, but do keep posting here, your work looks lovely.
I’m a bit scared of those triangle in a square blocks….yours are fantastic.

Thanks. I used the Tri Recs rulers -- easy peasy.

The last "pre-sewing" clue came out a couple of days ago. Then on NYE we have five more clues to finish. I usually love Sherrie's mystery quilts but I'm beginning to think this will be my favourite.

I was so busy sewing yesterday I didn't update this thread. And today my phone is slow on uploading pics. So this one is from yesterday afternoon. It is huge - 21-1/2". I'll post a pic of the completed quilt when my computer receives it.

Well, I guess I shamed my phone into sending the pic because it just arrived. I like this pattern but will change out the brown corner squares for black before quilting it. Also, this is shorter than the original pattern because I can't quilt something that long. This measures 65" square -- just perfect for a prayer or charity quilt.
