    Default Name this quilt, please

This quilt was posted on another forum. It's a community service quilt, so I thought it might be easy to make. Can you tell me the name of this quilt?

Looks like a snowball ninepatch. Simple pattern but it all about color placement in your picture

I agree that it is a snowball and 9-patch variation, very color placement dependent.

Is a marvelous combination of blocks, I like this sort of thing where what you end up with depends on where you start...

in accuquilt terms it is a signature block, with sashing.

it is also in all the Qubes.
or...a square with two folded corners

I agree with cjsews that it is a Snowball Nine Patch quilt and it being about the color placement. There is one that is similar color-wise, except black instead of white shown on quilterscache.com. I think it is on page 3 that gives measurements for four blocks. The instructions for it start at https://www.quilterscache.com/S/Snow...atchBlock.html It sure makes a difference as to what colors/fabric are used. You will find some images of quilts made using the pattern on the quilterscache page 2. I also did a search for Snowball Nine Patch to see a lot of different looking ones based on fabric chosen. I think there are a couple of two color patterns on etsy. I think one may be Nine Patch Snowball. I also found a black and white drawing for 9 blocks that one could color in at https://www.pinterest.com/pin/377598749984111356/

Thanks, everyone. I kept staring and finally saw the snowball and 9 patch.

I made our 50th anniversary quilt a 9 Patch Snowball, but embroidered life info, on all the snowballs. It’s in my albums here. I found a printed backing with perfect sayings about family and quilts. After our 50th we had a few more great grandchildren born so I made a matching wall hanging to add them and it matches the quilt. My 9P blocks were 12.5 inches and also the white snowballs. Love the picture you found. Because of the color placements, I can understand how it can make a person study it to see the blocks.
