    Default Name this block please

What is the name of the block that has 25, or sometimes 36, two and half inch squares , but there is a center line of squares usually all one color running diagonally from one corner to other?

@EasyPeezy That's the picture that came to my mind.

@toogie Is there a name for the block?
or just a scrappy block with the diagonal colouration?

If there is, perhaps you will find it in quilterscache.com?
Would take a lot of time to go through all that they offer!

Bonnie Hunter over at quiltville calls her free pdf Scrappy Trips but I wondered if the block itself, has a name.

I didn’t need directions. I am cutting my square 2.5 squares and laying 6 across a block and 6 down so I end up with a 12.5 block.
I wanted the name so I could Google layouts of this block. I’m sure there are several ways to place the blocks for different looks.

When I first opened the Quiltville link, it reminded me of a Granny Square crocheted afghan!!

She shows a large Scrappy Trip quilt done in the barn raising setting. So I would think, you could go with any of the assorted log cabin settings. A lot probably depends on what colours you have ... and whether you go totally scrappy hap-hazard? Or do a more organized/planned scrappy!

    For those that follow ...

Reminds me of 'A Trip Around The World' block.
