Hannah’s HS graduation quilt
#1
This one is so embarrassingly late that I’m not saying how overdue it is. Suffice it to say, Hannah is WELL into her 20’s. Now that we are settled into the new house and the baby train has slowed down, we are trying to work on our long list of WIP’s.
When we originally talked to Hannah, she said she’d like something modern using grey and yellow. That was the third request for grey and yellow that we received, and we just didn’t have enough variety of either color to pull off a queen sized quilt. So we added the other colors and picked this pattern based on a Pinterest pin we found and liked.
I finished the binding on it today. The quilting is “Flowerumpus” from www.urbanalementz.com. The backing is from HL and I think we’ve used it twice before. It’s a great 108” neutral and it’s always in stock. Front fabrics are all from stash.
Thanks for looking.

I bet this one will be just fine. Young adults change their minds on color choices over time. Don't we all. This quilt call out "modern" but is not as dated as grey and yellow will be in a few years. I really like your choice of quilting. It is dense enough to be seen but not so much that you lose sight of the patterns made by the blocks. Good finish!
