    Default Best Devil's Food Cake

We had a birthday at our house, so of course, I made a cake. I bought a older, used cookbook last year, The Cake Bible, by Rose Levy Beranbaum. This is a well-celebrated cookbook that I've always wanted. She revolutionized that way that cakes are made and has a ton of pro tips on how to make cakes. I highly recommend this cookbook if you are into baking. https://www.realbakingwithrose.com/the-cake-bible

I tried her devil's food cake for the birthday celebration, and I made up my own recipe for peanut butter frosting. The cake came out soooo good! It was one of the best chocolate cakes that I've ever made. The trick is the way the ingredients are added to the batter, using a 2-stage method and making sure that the flour granules are fully coated with the butter, thereby making the final cake very moist and tender.

I could not find the cake recipe on her website, but I did find her entire cookbook on Scribd. It's free to download it.
https://www.scribd.com/document/4537...Levy-Beranbaum . The recipe is probably in there

Update...I couldn't find the recipe on Scribd either. I'll try to transcribe the recipe and post it here in a bit.
