Default Garlic knots, cornerstone sashing, piano keys oh my!

The title about says it all! I saw a really pretty quilt like this, with colorful scrappy fabrics. I did a lot of strip piecing and tho that still took me a while ( I have been on this a week) it didn’t go very fast. I can’t imagine sewing square by square. I’d probably be on it all month! Now, I only wish it was already quilted. It’s 94.5 x 105.75 inches so it was hard for me to take a good picture. I wanted to make my inner border with the sashing fabric I used bt I didn’t have enough fabric. I inquired about some from my sewing friends but they didn’t have any like it. One friend had some with little gray vines but the background was white whereas mine was off white. I think the piano keys would have looked more ‘floating’ if I’d have had the other. Oh well, we do what we can and this is the best I could manage. I think I will like it better when my back quits hurting-lol Have a nice day! The sun was shining and everything is beautiful and green. My front yard Easter.

Beautiful quilt. I like the colors, they go very well together.

    Cheers,

That is one gorgeous quilt! It looks perfect with the fabrics you used. I really love the corner blocks in the outer border.

Your yard looks lovely - especially since it is snowing here in New England this morning!! (I am SO done with winter)

Very classy quilt! I love the sashing of your garlic knots. It is great to see your projects up and running again. This is the first time I have seen and actual piano key border! (At least the first time I have recognized it as such) Stunning!

Beautiful Toogie! I love your piano key border and the extra detailing in the sashing. That was a lot of extra work! I am not a fan of browns or neutrals but your top looks so soothing. I am in awe!

Your front yard looks lovely. We woke up to a couple of inches of snow this morning--yuck!! The sun in shining but the temp is still below freezing.
