I am starting on an I Spy for my grandson. And I just realized that when I am making a quilt with no particular design or pattern, I am the happiest. I think it is because I don't have to worry about messing up the pattern.

Maybe when I get better at making quilts with patterns, I will be happy when making those.

Anytime that I have cut precisely and the pieces are going together correctly... even if it is a challenge to get them sewn together (Y seams, tiny pieces, odd shapes, etc...) :D:D:D

I'm very happy while quilting. It's a true passion of mine now. I started about 10 years ago and can't seem to get enough of the learning and trying new technique's. I am happy other times too, but I do love my quilting time.

I hear you... Today I made a couple of those Mug Rugs that everyone seems to be doing these days and I didn't have a pattern so I made my own up using scraps of this and that. It was fun and inspiring and totally enjoyable to me!

Anytime I can pick up fabric with or without an idea in mind...and just loose myself in the process. That makes me so very happy.

I love the hand work. I do a lot of machine piecing, but my favorite times are sitting in my comfy recliner and working on applique or hand quilting, especially with a friend who is also quilting.

Last night I said to my DH- " I would love to just make quilts all the time for the rest of my life" lol
I love many different things but quilting is in a class by itself :)
I'd have to say hand quilting is my favorite thing but I'm doing it less and less these days. I have too many ideas (unless I can live about 100 more years, then I could probably hand quilt them all )

I really enjoy piecing and seeing the pattern emerge but my favorite time is when I'm machine quilting. It just relaxes me.
