    I got my Janome 6600 about a year and a half ago and love it, the extra throat room is wonderful and the main reason I wanted it.

    Or stack your fabric and use a square up ruler. I made 7 baby quilts with 2 1/2 inch squares and cut 2 1/2 inch strips and then stacked and cut 2 1/2 inch to make the square.
