In June of 2008 I had Bunion surgery on my right foot. When I had my left one done, I was non-weight bearing on crutches for 6 weeks.
However, as things sometimes happen, I was on crutches (NON weight bearing) for 12 weeks since this right foot did not want to heal properly. I did our area shop hop of 12 shops in August on crutches. Yes, it was a pain, but I would not have missed it and had a great time. The people I went with were very accomodating, and so were other people. If I had had one, I would have used a chair...

    Happy Quilting..

Oh you should go, let your friends help you if needed. Don't miss out on the things you love, you never know when they will disappear and you won't get anothe chance to do them. Quilt people are so nice I don't think they mind all that much when someone in a wheelchair needs a little special help or a special way to view things.

I would definitely go and let your friends help out. But if you think a wheelchair is too big, why not get one of those walkers that has a seat on it? You can walk until it starts hurting and then be able to sit for a few minutes and they usually have a basket attached under the seat.
Have some fun, you deserve it.

I would go too. Your friends have offered to help you and they wouldn't offer if they didn't mean it. Go and enjoy the show together. :-D

So sorry you not able to get around too well. I had foot surgery last year and found that a knee walker was a lot easier to use than crutches or a wheelchair. It is sort of like a scooter. Good Luck.

Your friends wouldn't have offered if they didn't want you to go with them! Go for it!
