    since those are the 2 choices go with red - gold would be nice

    It would depend if it is going on a table/bed or if it was a wall hanging. The cream I would worry about little fingers being dirty - or maybe big fingers. I like the red as it gives it a very warm feeling. BTW I love the quilt.
