Yes, it's a little confusing because I posted pictures of both machines that I got and am receiving comments on both. One is a 600E Touch and Sew, and the other is the 401A. The pictures aren't great, especially of the 600E, which is actually white.

It may not be anything major with the 630. I've already had one to go "out of commision" by heavy, really heavy, - duty sewing. I brought it in and it had just jumped out of ...hmmm- was it timing? I don't know but it wasn't expensive to have it repaired. It would be worth getting an estimate.

My mother has the second one and it sews really well. You will be happy with it.

I found a treadle base left in my garage when tenants moved out. What I did was paint the base and then my son-in-law made a lovely oak top and screwed it on - now I have a neat little table and love it.

Wonderful bargains!!! If you don't want to put in a treadle machine onto the base, you could always make it into a table! :thumbup: I had two orphan treadle machine legs, and a friend of my stepfather's made a tabletop for it. I love it......so cute! :wink:
