I was waiting for my daughter to come in on the 14th, she called yesterday and said she didnt think she would make it. Bummer, but she has a new job and I understand. So I'm gonna wait till i get the final answer on weather or not shes coming.

Nancy, I am right there with u!! Last year 5 Big trees decorated, this year did not really put up the one. It just never felt like Christmas to me this year? Seems more like Thanksgiving time? Every thing is so hurried anymore, the seasons seem to blow right by me.........

We leave our tree up until the gentile Christmas, this is the 12 days of Christmas, Epiphany. This is when the church traditionaly celebrates the Magi's vistit to Christ.

I was too busy to get the tree up and decorated until just before Christmas, so I'm letting it stay up a little while into January, to make up for that. I was busy in Dec. so I'm actually enjoying it more now. It's really drying out, tho, but that makes it's scent heavenly! I'd say it's got another week before I'm ready to put everything away until next year.

I have a friend who is a lazy decorator and general 'grinch'. She just drags her fake tree, fully dressed, into a closet and pulls the entire thing out the next year, LOL.

Me too. We have a very small living room and a tree takes up a lot of space, so I'm usually ready to take it down within a couple of days of Christmas. One of our cats would always lay underneath it; she absolutely loved a Christmas tree!

a kitty under the tree sounds too cute, and would inspire me to leave it up a bit longer also - at least a Day longer. :-) We had one years ago who liked to be In the tree! yikes. But that was when we used fresh trees. Now they're pretend ones, and not so alluring...
