DH and I have a heated mattress pad that has two separate "zones" so both of us are comfy. For us the hot/cold thing switches often...we just can't seem to get it together! :D

Perhaps if you made matching twin sized quilts, with heavier batting for you, then the bed would match & you could be warmer. We lived in Europe for a while & they often make their beds with 2 duvets, so each sleeper has their own. Also, try layering w/ 2 top sheets - that way you could put your blanket & even the extra for your side in between them. They stay straighter (for easier bedmaking) & are warmer than just one top sheet, as it traps the blanket's heat better. I agree w/ another writer that you wouldn't like a quilt that was thicker on one side.

Our hot & cold thing is in reverse. I use make him comfortable and just uncover when I'm having a hot flash. Just remember good men are hard to find, so take care of the one you have.:)

My DH just folds the top quilt over my half of the bed so I have an extra layer - actually two more than he does.

My DH wants to be cold when he sleeps. I cannot sleep on sheets. So I sleep ON a fleece twin quilt and cover with 2 fleece twin quilts. I make the king size bed with sheets and quilts for him then put my quilts on top. Then he stays covered and cannot pull everything off. My little dog sleeps on top of me to keep her warm and I her temp helps keep me warm.

I have an electric blanket which I use all winter DH hates it he is a hotty and has his feet out even in winter.
