You do beautiful work. It inspires me to get busy on projects. I really
liked the building blocks. The colors are terrific  :!:

Hi everyone, sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you, have been busy trying to get some work done on my baltimore, is slow going (sigh)

Thankyou all very much for the lovely comments.
Virginia: Quilt measures 45" from point to point and 39" from side to side, including boarders. An old tip my grandma taught me was if you have a really big job to do, do a little bit at a time, but do it often. she used to say.... "so even if you only do one or two a day as long as you do that every day you will get there" :) I'm sure you'll get there too :) , I wasn't working when I did alot of these. Wise woman my Grandmother, I still miss her.

Vicki: Naughty, naughty  Are you taking a leaf out of Patrices' book and demanding fat quarters with menaces now

Quiltgirl: Yes I do make some easy ones  Am mostly self taught though so some of my methods may be a little er unusual
Have been seriously quilting for 15 years but was first taught to peice hexagons together over papers by my Grandmother when I was just a wee tot. I owe a gret debt to my Grandmother.

Ruth: I have done a few classes, taught a method I'd devised for making a stainded glass quilt from squares. Have seen a similar quilt on the web just recently, but don't know if they used the same method. Any way didn't have the net back then, was about 6 years ago. But life sort of interferred as it has a way of doing sometimes. Sometimes I wish I lived over there too. It would be nice to have a group of quilting buddies to talk to in the flesh so to speak and getting hold of some of the supplies and equipment can be quite tricky sometimes, everything is so far away. Can get a little bit lonely quilting on your own, which is one of the reasons I enjoy this board so much, it is so nice to have people who are interested in the same things to chat to.

Anyway once again, thanks to all for your input, I really appreciate your interest in my work. I better get a move on, this baltimore block aint gonna stitch itself

Shelly--that's what sisters are for, to blackmail fat quarters out of them  Of course she could turn the tables and do the same to me :!:

The building block quilt is super. I especially want to thank you for sharing the basic pattern. It looks so simple when done your way. I am going to try one. :-) :-)
