Both are lovely but I like the first - makes the overall effect more elegant. I've never seen that pattern before - it is beautiful with the fabrics you have chosen.

Not sure if I am reading your question correctly. Do you plan to use a black binding with either chose?
My choice would be the red border, it really sets off the blocks nicely.

That is a beautiful quilt. At first I liked the first, simple binding in black; but the more I look I rather like the red flower border. Either way, it is really gorgeous. Show us again when it is finished.
