I quilt by machine. I've never quilted by hand.

I tried to hand quilt once. As Winnie the Pooh says "Oh bother". It hurt my hands and my stitches were not even close to being even in length and were wobbily. That's when I decided it would be by machine or tied.

I do both. It depends on the quilt. If it's 30's reprints, then I hand quilt or if there is a certain look I want. Sometimes, I machine quilt them and use my embroidery stitches to accent the sashings and borders.

Both. Right now I'm hand quilting a map for my classroom next year.

What type of map are you quilting? Would love to see it when finished.

I like to hand quilt. I have tried to machine quilt but for some reason I don't enjoy it. I like to watch TV or listen to music when quilting. I also like to hand applique.

I machine piece, but hand quilt on the beautiful quilting frame that DH made for me. I use a big hoop for baby quilts. I, too, find hand quilting very relaxing.

I'd like to try machine quilting on certain projects though.

I am a hand quilter. Never got the hang of machine quilting. I have done some on mug rugs, but they are small.

Mostly machine quilting. I find I don't like to hand piece, but I do like hand quilting. I try and keep a project going for the hoop in front of the TV. The last one took me 6 years on and off. I am thinking of what my next one will be, but have produced a couple of machine quilts lately.

I learned to quilt in the early 80s. Back then you never touched a quilt with a machine.

I now do everything with the machine. I have a long arm and enjoy that method.
