I too have a dressform like yours. I buy fabric flowers to put on my quilts, buy books sometimes, but have not seen any quilting books, will take a closer look next time.

I'm going to stop in today. I did get some small kitchen shears there that are great for cooking as well as sewing to cut tough stuff. Sharp little boogers.

I haven't looked in the Dollar Store for books, but I did find 3 quilting books in Big Lots for $3 each. So I guess it is good to scrounge around the "cheap" stores.

Periodically mine has crafting items, usually around a large event. (holidays,,,back to school) I bought quilter's safety pins a while back. They were 50 count packages!!! I'm planning a trip within 2-3 weeks to check it out. Back to school brings a big influence of merchandise. I need to check my sewing supplies to see what I need!!! LOL!!! Don't you just LOVE the Dollar Store!!!

The Dollar Tree is in a area of town I'm not in much but when I go there I usually find something I have to have. I found bunny, dog, cat, cow, pig, star, flower, circle and other fun shapes made from thin wood. These are great to use for tracing quilting motifs. That's a great tip to use the foam shapes that can be pinned to the quilt. Thanks!

My niece went with me the last time I was there and she didn't know everything in the store was $1. She found the hair, bath, and make up section and was wowed. She kept saying it's only a $1? Really? For real? LOL.
