    Go ahead, I just thought it was a cute idea. I made the shams king sized also but I made them too wide up and down so I sewed across the top and bottom squares so that a king size pillow would fit. But if you made the center smaller, I dont know if you could get the heart to look right so try it out before you commit to it.
