What an amazing incident...Really nice to know there still are people in this busy country of ours that are kind and caring enough to take the time to trace you down and return it. I'm so happy for you.....

What's most amazing (scary) is that she could find you - even where you live - and she was in NYC -in a matter of a few hrs.
She had told me that at the time she had recently moved from another state to NYC so she wasn't familiar with the high schools in NY. She said she found on a street in Long Island but doesn't recall the name of the street. You have to wonder where was this ring the first 14 yrs?! Glad to have it back. Wore it to work yesterday and today it is at home in its jewelry box. And your so right...with the internet resources out there and to find someone in a matter of hours is scary. I'm blessed to know this person wasn't scamming me.

Happy for you and the honesty of the lady who may well be meant to be in your life for more than a ring!?

Lovely!! I lost my class ring at Ft. Myer, VA (I was a WAC) in 1962. I wish it could be returned to me.

It is so great that your ring was returned to you. However, my sentiments are "wear it!" It was meant to find you after all of these years...why leave it in a jewelry box where no one enjoys it?
I asked for and just received my mom's wedding ring set from my sister who has had it stored for several years. (Mom passed away at age 92). I am going to take it to a jeweler's and have them clean it, repair it , and then I am going to wear the rings on a chain around my neck. I guess I am sentimental, but somehow it just makes me feel closer to my mom. I am sure that the dollar value is not much.....but to me, it's priceless.
