    I didn't even notice and never knew that one particular side had to be dark...what possible difference would it make? gorgeous quilt.

    I think is gorgeous and you did a great job on the quilting! I think the LQS got it wrong; the border looks perfect You may want to take it to the LQS along with the crow (cooked of course! :-D :-D :-D )

    With Log Cabin Quilts, who is to say what is backward? I decide which fabric I want to finish with the longest strips and it might be dark or light. Some might be opposite(or backward) depending on the overall pattern I want to show up.
    Your quilt is very nice. Keep in mind that design decisions are up to the person making the quilt.
