    If I remove one owl block from the row along the bottom, the quilt becomes a rectangle and is narrower and fits a crib or a toddler bed just a little bit better. So the quilt will be four owl blocks wide. That also removes two of the squares from the width of the quilt and makes the inner panel narrower.
