Oh boy, that chicken soup sounds yummy. I made beef, pearl barley & vegetable soup last week & it really hit the spot. I like to use a can of beef broth & a can of diced tomatoes along with carrots, potatoes, onion & trimmings from a roast or steak....and of course pearl barley. It is thick & hearty.

We love soup. We have it about once a week in the winter. I usually serve it with homemade bread and jelly. Then I can eat the leftovers most of the week for lunch at work.

We eat soup a lot. It's easy and the more you reheat soup, the better it tastes. Tomorrow is tortilla soup. I'm the queen of quick soup.

I would serve more soup (love it!), but DH is not a soup fan. So, I compromise. I only serve it twice a week. )
