What a wonderful man! I have told my kids and my husband that the best present they can give me is a gift certificate to my LQS. That is my very most favorite present!

Sounds like someone has a pretty special man in their life! our LQS next weekend is having a husband shopping afternoon. They put on their website a Christmas wish list with prices, all we have to do is fill it out and if DH brings in the actual list they'll give him a 15% discount.

You guys are all so lucky. I'm still waiting for the larger ironing board cover BF was supposed to make me last year for christmas. I told him I would cover it, he just needed to make a bigger top and it can set on top on my ironing board. Lol...maybe I should just ask him to "buy" me a large ironing board this year.

What a nice husband. My husband did that a few years back and I ended up getting an embroidery machine with the help of his gift card.

Last year my DH surprised me with an embroidery machine, thread (2 huge sets), stabilizer etc. I used to say "You never hear me". He proved me wrong. I only casually said one time last year, I think embroidery would be fun to learn. Now I just keep my mouth shut when I think he's not listening - cuz he proved he does listen. What a guy!

Bless all those DH's that really do want to surprise us with something they know we'll be well pleased with. Now, if we could just figure out what to get them. They need it, they buy it...

What a sweet thing for him to do! Quilters' husbands are a very special breed. I'm blessed to have one at my house too.

I am also fortunate to have a husband who doesn't complain (much) about my "art". He has made some great purchases: a GO! cutter among them, but the very best gift was a Gammill Premier that he got when he went with me to a AQS show when my best bud couldn't come!

    Happy quilting to all!
