You could cut each strip apart and put coordinating rows of blocks in between the existing fabric.
And/Or cut the barn/chickens apart and put a block between

The two prints would work nicely to make blocks, and perhaps add a 3rd coordinating one.

As a whole, it'd make for a great backing of a quilt.

The possibilities are endless!!!!

Do you remember the square caserole taker that someone posted a while back? It would be great for that or a nice kitchen apron. You could use it for a quilt back or go with the theme. I've seen some really cute chicken quilts on QB that would look great with that fabric as sashing. Don't forget if you still can't think of a use a clothesline basket would look good in that fabric.

Pillowcase/sheet tops (border)? 6 1/2 yards is a lot to try to use up. Liked the ideas of the kitchen items above!

Co-ordinating just about anything for the kitchen: oven gloves, tea cosy, tea pot stand - even an apron.

Cut the thin blue above and below the chickens in case you want to use later for something and cut the sections apart (in strips of 2 1/2, or squares, etc) to use in a quilt.

Agree with QuiltE to strip it and use as borders on another quilt. The chickens, barn, etc strip would be cute gathered on the both of the tea towel for a kitchen without being too country since the majority of the country blue would be gone.

These ideas are fantastic--I have the fabric in the dryer now, it is a lot softer, and I almost like it. One thing I thought of was a plastic bag holder, if I gave one to someone they could hang it in the their broom closet if it didn't suit their kitchen decor. I also liked the border for tea towels and the square casserole carrier. Thanks for everyone's input.
