Jerrie--Good to see you back!! Don't worry--something will motivate you and get you back in the quilting mood soon.

If you do nothing else, don't stress. I am in a bit of a funk myself, but I know I will find something to inspire me and I will be right back where I want to be. I just need to inhale pink and exhale blue and I will be alright again. Chin up girl, it will come back.

    Hi Jerrie,

I am having so much trouble getting motivated myself. I thought I was the only one. I read about everyone else, and how they are doing and always working on something, I am still stuck in mid-stream. If you find some ideas, I would love to hear about them too. I joined a quilt guild, read books, magazines, look online, look at my fabric stash. I love to quilt, sew, etc., I have so many ideas swimming in my head, but I can't seem to get going on anything.

    Take care, Cyniree

I go in and look at my fabric collection ( I am a collector not a horder) and then go with whatever inspires me either thru a purchased pattern or one I might make up. Now If I can keep the Dog and hubby from wanting my attention then I might actually accomplish something. LOL, I love them both to death but sometimes I just need me time.

Jerrie, if UFOs were a source of inspiration/motivation, there wouldn't be any! Sounds to me like you're bored with same old same old. Why not try moving your sewing machine to a new (temporary) location, perhaps near a window. Also, ask yourself what has motivated you in the past? For me, it's usually someone mentioning that they would love a quilt or, I need a present for someone. It gives me a target to shoot for; i.e., I know the person's favorite colors or, it's going to be a Christmas present, etc. Good luck fighting the ho-hums!

Ya know, getting involved in one of the swaps can be very motivating - we have the Fall Block Swap, the DJ Xmas Swap and there are a few others too...
