That is a beautiful piece. I am subscribed to Dover also. I never have the nerves to try the flowers with fabric. I always color the pictures with coloring pencils or crayon, then do an embroidery outline. Just wondering how you did the long yellow flowers.

Thanks! I shell ruched a VERY LONG piece of the gold fabric and then folded it back on itself so that the raw edge formed the middle spine of the flower - then appliqued it down by stitching right through the center spine so that the edges stood "free" from the backgroung!
