    A friend of mine made a terrific quilt, using a similar idea. She got it out of Simple Quilts & Sewing, Edition 119 from 2011 and it is called Four Square. It is a little more "neat" looking. She used a jelly roll also. I just have to order the magazine.

    It sounds like the pattern called Sonia's Windows which was in a recent magazine. It might have been the recent McCalls special edition. I'm not home for another week so I can't look it up. It was really fun to make.

    I like it done with strips so when you cut them twice , the seams help stabilize the fabric more. those bias edges aren't so bad doing it this way. i will try it, thanks.
