    Default Revamped sewing room--WOOT!

Finally got around to cleaning out and revamping my sewing room. All it took to spur me on was getting a Babylock Tiara and Koala table! I love my sewing room but it needed to be a little more orderly and useful. The room also doubles as my closet/storage. I painted the room about 5 years ago, sewed the curtains, workbench skirting/cover, and painted the bifold doors, shelving, and stool. As you can see I went through a Donna Dewberry painting phase. I have one outlet in the room (old farm house) and a pull chain for a light. Needless-to-say, I got a couple power strips hooked up! The work bench was full of my husband's toy tractors and I said "They gotta go to the attic because I need the room!" Getting those out from the bench gave me a lot more storage. Still needs a little work but we're getting there. My embroidery machine is on an old desk from my mom and all my embroidery stuff fits nicely inside the little door--need to spruce that up soon. I made a big board ironing board which I love and the pegboard (WIP) is a great addition to get stuff off the table. Since we have old plaster walls, I used a bunch of large picture hanging Command strips--no nails/anchors in the wall! If you can't go out--go up! I included a few before pics so you can see we were kind of in a mess and it was feeling stressful to me. My son helped put the Koala table together (easy-but heavy), and the chick in feathers is Lola! Next on the list?--going through all my fabric. But that's for another day and another glass of wine! Thanks for looking!

A Tiara alone would cause me to work wonders in my sewing space. Enjoy, enjoy and enjoy!
